The Delaware Department of Labor, in partnership with Hodgson Vocational Technical High School and Polytech High School, will host the inaugural Building Delaware Together: Statewide Construction Workforce Expo in celebration of National Construction Appreciation Week.
This statewide workforce initiative is designed to connect students, employers, apprenticeship programs, trade associations, training providers, workforce partners, and job seekers while showcasing the many career opportunities available within Delaware's construction industry.
This event will:
- Celebrate National Construction Appreciation Week.
- Promote careers in Delaware's construction industry.
- Connect students and job seekers with employers and apprenticeship opportunities.
- Showcase career and technical education programs.
- Strengthen partnerships between education, workforce development, and industry.
- Support Governor Meyer's Executive Order #1 by expanding career exploration and workforce pathway opportunities.
The expo will feature interactive industry zones, including:
- Construction Careers & Employment
- Apprenticeship & Training Programs
- Trade Associations & Industry Partners
- Safety & Compliance Resources
- Future Builders Showcase
- Workforce & Community Resources
The event will run from 12 pm-3 pm for Co-op Students and 4 pm-6 pm for Adult Ed and Community members.
