When is a work permit required, and who must obtain one?

All minors under 18 years old must have a Delaware Work Permit before starting work. The permit must be completed by the employer, signed by the parent or guardian, and approved by the school or Department of Labor. Employers are responsible for keeping the permit on file during the minor’s employment.
