What is the employer’s role in determining an employee’s average weekly wage?

Employers must provide complete and accurate payroll records to the insurance carrier. These records allow the carrier to calculate the worker’s average weekly wage and set benefit amounts. Inaccurate or missing payroll information can delay benefits.
