How quickly must an employer file a First Report of Injury?

Employers must file a First Report of Injury with their insurance carrier as soon as they become aware of the injury. Delaware law requires employers to report injuries promptly so the carrier can begin processing the claim and determine benefit eligibility. Timely reporting also protects the employer’s interests.
