How does the disfigurement award process work?

A worker can request a disfigurement evaluation after the injury has healed. The Industrial Accident Board reviews the disfigurement in person and decides whether an award is appropriate. The amount depends on how noticeable the injury is and how it affects the worker’s appearance.
