Can employers require employees to treat with certified providers?

No. Delaware law does not allow employers to force workers to treat with a specific provider. However, using certified providers often speeds up care because the treatment is presumed reasonable, and many services do not require preauthorization. Employers may recommend, but not require, certified providers.
