Can an employer fire or retaliate against an employee for filing a Workers’ Compensation claim?

No. It is illegal for an employer to fire, threaten, or retaliate against an employee because they filed a Workers’ Compensation claim or reported a work injury. Retaliation can create additional liability for the employer and may result in penalties under Delaware law.
