What is quid pro quo sexual harassment?

Quid pro quo harassment occurs when a supervisor or person in authority demands sexual favors in exchange for job benefits, such as promotions, pay increases, or continued employment.

It can also occur when negative job consequences result from rejecting sexual advances.
