What is labor trafficking?

Labor trafficking happens when someone is forced to work through threats, fraud, or coercion. A trafficker may control a person’s job, pay, housing, transportation, or personal documents.

Labor trafficking can occur in many industries and may involve workers being paid little or nothing, working extremely long hours, or being prevented from leaving.
