What does “reasonable cause” mean?
After reviewing the evidence, OAD will decide whether there is “reasonable cause” to believe discrimination occurred. This means there is enough evidence to support the claim under the law.
If reasonable cause is found, the case may proceed to conciliation or further legal action. If not, the complaint may be dismissed.
