Are meal breaks required in Delaware?

Delaware law requires a 30-minute meal break for employees who work 7.5 or more consecutive hours in a shift. The break must occur after the first two hours of work and before the last two hours of the shift, unless an exemption applies.

This rule protects workers’ health and safety during long shifts.
